December 2021 update released for Huawei Mate 40 series (CN)

Huawei is sending the latest HarmonyOS 2 software update for Mate 40 series that installs December 2021 security update along with other system improvements. This update is rolling out in China and soon cover all the models.

According to the information, the December 2021 update for Huawei Mate 40 lineup comes with version HarmonyOS 2.0.0.218 upgraded from version 2.0.0.212. While the Mate 40 Pro (5G) variant gets HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.220 from 2.0.0.212.

  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro (NOH-AN01)
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ (NOP-AN00)
  • Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design (NOP-AN00)

Talking about the changes, this firmware update brings a new defect elimination feature in Gallery for a photo editor, and optimizations for smart multi-window mode and system stability of the device. Moreover, it also installs the latest December 2021 HarmonyOS security patch, which fixes details that are yet to arrive.

There are two ways that you can download this latest software update, both of these areas the following:

VIA SETTINGS:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on System & updates
  3. Tap Software update
  4. Tap Check for Updates
  5. Download and Install
  6. Install
