Huawei Mate 20 Pro is getting a new (small) EMUI 9.1 update with August security patch

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The latest update improves system security with Android security patch.

It brings the August 2019 security patch. It has the software version EMUI 9.1.0.320 and the size of this update is 161MB.

The interesting thing about this update is SIZE – which is very small as compared to previous software updates with security patches. We earlier reported that Huawei and Honor smartphones were getting big software updates, just for security patches.

Note: This update is rolling out in batches. The EMUI versions and update size may vary depending on the market and models.

If you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction below:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App: Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the Checkbox and hit Apply.
