Huawei Mate 20 firmware leak reveals Kirin 980, Wireless Charging and EMUI 9.0 (Android P)

Huawei is preparing to launch its next CPU powerhouse Kirin 980 at IFA stage on Next month, following by the launch of Mate 20 series including Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 Lite. In recent firmware leak, some of the important information about the series has appeared online about these devices.

According to xda-developers, the site has claimed that they have obtained the firmware files of Mate 20 which revealed some of the important aspects of the device’s specifications, though there no exposure on information regarding Mate 20 Pro/Lite.



According to the source, the Mate 20 will be equipped with a Kirin 980 processor, featuring a 6.3-inch AMOLED display (Notch unconfirmed) and 6GB+128GB storage combination with glass design finishing.

Huawei Mate 20 will come pre-installed with Android P-based EMUI 9.0 OS. At the same time, Huawei Mate 20 will increase the battery capacity to 4200 mAh, and for the first time provides support for wireless charging.
