Huawei Mate 20 EMUI 11 users receiving system improvements, Chinese models runs HarmonyOS

Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design with EMUI 11 software has begun receiving a new software update that brings important improvements for system performance.

The update is currently expanding in China. However, the in-land models are eligible to upgrade to HarmonyOS operating system directly from EMUI 11. However, the update was not recorded on any global device at the moment.

It’s yet to confirm, what are Huawei’s plan on this matter but the Chinese tech maker must have to provide a satisfying solution to the global Huawei Mate 20 series users. So, they can also enjoy the latest software version.

Aside from these, the latest software update for the Huawei mate 20 series optimizes the system stability and allows you to enjoy a more stable performance on your device. However, there are no further changes that have been noticed under the changelog.

Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS, and Mate 20 X 4G are receiving EMUI 11 version 10.0.0.155/156 upgrading from EMUI 11.0.0.139/140. However, the software is currently rolling out in China and may expand to global users.

Huawei P30 Series Global:

Recently, Huawei has pushed a new firmware version for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones running EMUI 11. The software has nothing to do with any features or system improvements. Instead, it only brings June 2021 security improvements.

How to update Huawei Mate 20 series:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings and click on System & Updates, then open Software update.
  • Tap on Check for updates option, if an update appears then click Download and install.
  • After installation reboot the device.

Download via Support/My Huawei app:

  • Open the Support app, then navigate to the Service tab and click on the Update button.
  • Now tap on Check for update option, if found any then click Download and install.
  • After the installation completes, reboot the device.
