Huawei Mate 10 series and Nova 4 smartphones installing new improvements with latest update

Huawei is sending a new software update for Mate 10 series and Nova 4. This update comes with a bunch of improvements as well as brings the system security update.

According to the changelog, the compnay added a popular recommendation folder on the desktop that intelligently recommends popular selected applications for you. Added new education center and Link Now application quick download icons.

Additionally, install the security patch released in February 2021 that improves the device security by fixing different levels of exploits and issues.

To be mentioned about Mate 10, after sending September 2020 security patch, Huawei added this device into the quarterly update section because it’s an old flagship device whose regular update cycle is completed. But it’s company goodwill that it is still improving system security via releasing security updates.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
