Huawei Mate 10 begins HarmonyOS 2 beta journey, old flagship will get new software

On July 12, Huawei began the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta journey of Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, still, the testing pool is limited to the Chinese market. However, the rollout has brought a fresh wave of excitement among the Huawei Mate 10 device owners.

To be mentioned, the Mate 10 smartphones were initially launched with EMUI 8.0 and currently running on EMUI 10.0 version. But, this device has not been part of the latest Android-based EMUI 11.

Huawei Mate 10 HarmonyOS Schedule:

With its initial launch, Huawei also released the HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrade plan for more than 100 devices that contain models launched since 2016. According to the official roadmap, the Huawei Mate 10 series was originally decided to upgrade over the new OS in the first half of 2022.

Post-registration, the selected Mate 10 smartphones beta tester will be able to experience the HarmonyOS features ahead of stable rollout. In order to prepare for large-scale adaption, the company will roll out several beta versions via OTA upgrade.
