Huawei launched Seeds for the Future 2.0 with investment of 150 million USD for new talent growth

On 8th July 202, Huawei and IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) jointly conducted the “Technology for Sustainable Development” forum. It was focused on technological solutions, which can help to establish an environmentally friendly scenario.

Huawei and the worldwide firms, who work in the development and betterment of various fields such as environment, economic, and others took part in this event. The participant namely includes the following organizations:

  • The World Conservation Union
  • The World Economic Forum
  • Global Environmental Information Research Center
  • Global Electronic Sustainable Development Initiative
  • Singapore Institute of International Affairs

At the event, Huawei Technology shared its annual analytical reports and plan for the coming year. The company concluded the following activity and announcements

  1. Publishes the 2020 Sustainability Report
  2. Released the “Future Seeds 2.0” plan
  3. Announced US$150 million investment
  4.  Shares the “Huawei Innovation Road” documentary

2020 Sustainability Report:

Huawei’s 2020 Sustainability Report shows that Huawei has initiated projects such as HUAWEI4HER and TECH4HER to help women develop their ICT (Information Communication Technology) skills and promote gender equality in the industry.

Furthermore, the Director of Huawei and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee, pointed out that “Huawei is actively promoting integrated green ICT solutions, energy conservation and emission reduction in various industries. Also, constructing in a resource-saving manner and building environment-friendly low-carbon society.”

Cultivating the talents: Future Seeds 2.0

Now, when digital talents have become the core of economic growth, it’s necessary to develop them provide a fair education. Huawei Chairman Liang Hua said believes that digital skills and literacy are not only a basic necessity but also consider a human right nowadays.

In order to cultivate talents, the company plans to invest 150 million USD for the next five years and simultaneously released the Future Seeds 2.0 plan. It’ll help the university scholar to enhance their trades.

The company is organizing these kinds of activities since 2008 and has launched many talent programs such as scholarships, technology competitions, and digital skills training, covering more than 150 countries.
