Huawei introduced digital RMB technology at 4th Digital China Construction Summit

The 4th Digital China Construction Summit held from 25th April to 26th April at Fuzhou Strait International Convention and Exhibition Center, China. The theme for the summit was “stimulating new kinetic energy of data elements and starting a new journey in digital China”.

Many of the advance digital economy technique was presented on the platform. In this line, the Digital Currency Research Institute of the People’s Bank of China was the in-charge of the Digital RMB exhibition area.

Huawei was invited as the only smartphone firm to take part in the digital RMB technology solution covering e-commerce platforms such as life payment, transportation, shopping and consumption, and government services.

To be mentioned, Huawei is contributing to the digital RMB research, under the guidance of the People’s Bank of China. It has invested in the compilation and development of relevant technical specifications in the Huawei Mate 40 series.

With this, the Huawei Mate 40 series became the first smartphone to support digital RMB hardware wallets according to the unified standards of the Digital Currency Research Institute.

Even after the release of Mate 40, Huawei didn’t stop exploring the digital RMB experience innovation. In this term, the general manager of payment and map business of Huawei’s consumer cloud service- Ma Chuanyong, commented:

“Huawei is based on hardware, software and cloud collaborative innovation to help realize the secure storage and offline transactions of digital RMB.

At the same time, it also strives to build rich application scenarios for digital RMB, to help build unmanned hotels, etc.”

Following the process, this telecom firm has taken part in the digital RMB hard wallets and provides solutions, and also actively traveling over the innovative scenarios for digital RMB.
