Huawei in mission mode, registered ‘ARK OS’ trademark in Germany

A few days ago Huawei registered “Huawei ARK OS” in Europes trade administration EUIPO and now by moving forward the company has registered this trademark in Germany.

Huawei Hongmeng OS could be known as ARK OS globally

Huawei has filed a trademark application for “Huawei ARK OS” at DPMA (German Patent and Trademark Office) on May 24, 2019, the same date as EUIPO filing with the same trademark, (via Winfuture).

Yet again the application contains the same categories including – Operating System and apart from the filing, there’s no specific information revealed by the trademarking authority.



On May 14, the company registered its trademark through Chinese trademark office of itellecutal property with the name “Huawei Hongmeng“.

Back in March, The company’s CEO, Yu Chengdong has confirmed that Huawei is developing its own OS in case it’s prohibited from using Android or Windows system by the US.

In Mid-may Huawei really applied the ban on Huawei and later on, the Yu told in an interview CNBC that the operating system could be ready by the fourth quarter of this year and a version for the global market in the first or the second quarter of 2020.
