Huawei improves P40 lineup smartphones system security with March software update

EMUI 11 is Huawei’s latest custom OS to date, which comes with various new capabilities to meet consumer’s needs. Every Huawei device holder wants to install this major update to experience advanced features.

As of now, the Huawei P40 lineup updated on the stable EMUI 11 software from EMUI 10.1 across the globe. For information, the P40 smartphones were the first to test the EMUI 11 beta build along with the Mate 30 and MatePad Pro devices in the Chinese market as well as the global market.

Earlier this month, Huawei pushed a security update for the P40 and P40 Pr0 users that brought the January 2021 security patch for the improvement of the system security.

Now, Huawei has begun sending another security update in the same month for the P40 devices in home ground, which will further expand in the global market. According to the changelog, this build brings the security patch released in February 2021 that enhances the security of the mobile phone system.

Version details: The P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+ users can identify this update with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.172/173 from EMUI 11.0.0.170.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
