huawei screen sharing feature

In the last three years, Huawei has started many new tech ventures to solve its tech issues and continuously researched new technologies to enhance existing devices. Adding to this, Huawei has recently patented a unique mobile screen sharing feature technology that will allow phone users to connect the display of each phone in real-time.

According to the information, Huawei has recently published a new patent for “An Enhanced Screen Sharing Method and System Electronic Equipment” with publication number CN114647390A. However, there’s a lot that we can learn from the Huawei mobile screen sharing feature patent description.

The details of the patent reveal that the first device (A) shows the user interface and sends it to the second device (B). Then the B receives the data as well as the user interface and shows it as it is on the display.

Aside from showing the display interface, the entire feature has a name called – Linkage Mode, which allows users to operate A device directly from the B device, which is kind of a Super Device feature feel.

The operation includes triggering events such as user interface clicks, drag, and drops as well as slides and gestures, similar to an operational smartphone. To perform responsive actions, the second device sends the events to the first device and performs the actions in real-time, according to the corresponding feature.

The patent image also shows how this technology really works for the consumers and how it shares the screen in real-time while performing actions from B to A devices. This technology is awesome and it will surely improve the user experience for the Huawei smartphone users.

As of now, Super Device and Multi screen collaboration allow you to connect the mobile screen to a desktop, laptop, tablet, or other big screen devices but it’s interesting to see, a mobile projecting the screen from another mobile display and taking direct actions from there.

Currently, Huawei has not confirmed to use or adapt this technology in real-time but we’re waiting for more information, as the technology currently remains in patent design.

Most of Deng Li's smartphones are from the Huawei ecosystem and his first Huawei phone was Ascend Mate 2 (4G). As a tech enthusiast, he keeps exploring new technologies and inspects them closely. Apart from the technology world, he takes care of his garden.

Huawei gesture recognition remote control

Huawei patent technologies are awesome and recently, the Chinese tech maker has received a new patent that could allow gesture recognition for remote control devices.

China’s patent office published a Huawei patent with application number CN115812188A on March 17, 2023, while it was applied on August 6, 2020.

Details show that Huawei has filed this patent for a brand-new technology that would allow a device to perform recognition of gesture movement to control another device that is remote-controlled in real-time.

In action, the patent provides a method and a handheld device for remote interaction with a second device. It includes apparatus identification to the second device from a plurality of devices based on a user’s gesture.

When a user makes gestures, motion sensors sensing the motion of these gestures can generate signals that can be processed by rule-based and/or learning-based methods. Processing of these signals may be used to identify said second device.

In order to improve performance, the user may be prompted to confirm that the identified second device is the device that the user wishes to remotely control. Processing of these signals may also allow a user to remotely interact with the said second device.

Currently, Huawei has not revealed any plans to adapt this system to real devices but we can wait for that in the future.

Huawei User Avatars

Huawei has recently patented an amazing technology that can generate user avatars dynamically based on the user’s actions. This seems something different than the already available avatar creation feature.

China’s patent office has published a new Huawei patent with application number CN115810072A, which was applied on December 6, 2022. The patent is titled “method, device, equipment, medium and program product for generating avatar”.

According to the patent details, Huawei phones with this technology could generate dynamic avatars based on the user’s action or motion. Thereafter, it could provide a more vivid and personalized avatar to improve the user experience.

Huawei user avatars actions

In more technical detail, the technology contains methods, devices, equipment, media, and program products for generating avatars related to the computer field.

The provided method includes determining motion data of a virtual skeleton corresponding to the motion of the user based on an image of the user, the virtual skeleton including a plurality of feature points.

The method also includes determining a set of geometric structures corresponding to a set of target feature points among the plurality of feature points based on the motion data, and generating a dynamic corresponding to the user’s motion by adding the set of geometric structures at the set of target feature points.

Currently, this actions based Huawei user avatars generating technology remains on paper but since it’s published today, we can see its use in future released devices.

Huawei phone camera replacement

Huawei is world-renowned when it comes to camera technologies and a recent patent tech has caught my eye because of its unique phone camera design and replacement capability.

According to the information, there is a new patent for electronic devices and their casing of decorations as well as covers. However, it directly aims at the camera module and customizations.

Here’s the abstract of this patent, which presents an application that relates to the field of device technology and discloses an electronic device, a cover decoration, and a rear cover itself.

Before we look into the details of the action, let’s check the key parts, for that you need to look into the graphical representation (below). These are marked with both text and numbers.

Huawei phone camera replacement

The casing decoration (10), internal decoration (11), and decoration (11) include a sealing part (111), and the sealing part (111) is used for sealing and attaching to the internal surface of the casing (20) so that the rear part of the inner trim and (11) is sealed state relative to the outer shell (20). The outer trim (12), and outer trim (12) are arranged on the outer side of the outer cover (20), while the outer trim (12) is detachably connected to the interior components (11).

Now jump to the compound of these parts and how they help the end user to customize the Huawei smartphone camera.

You get to change the aesthetics of the smartphone. Meanwhile, the user needs to replace the exterior accessory of the phone, which is detachable and improves the user experience by making it easy to replace.

Since it is not necessary to detach the housing of the main camera module, the additional equipment or accessory cover of the outer camera could ensure air tightness.

This phone camera replacement technology patent reflects the experiment of Huawei with its gadgets. This could provide easy portability by adding extra customization. Also making a place for additional capabilities such as a better lens and zoom.

For now, we’ve not heard anything about the implementation of such tech in smartphones but we’re here to give you a follow-up.
