Huawei has recently concluded the HarmonyOS stable rollout in the Chinese market. However, the smartphones running on the latest HarmonyOS version have the ability to detect the charger that does not fast-charge the device even if it supports fast charging because this may be dangerous to the smartphone.

Huawei’s HarmonyOS operating system has charge protection features that can identify the fake charger. Previously, Bruce Lee, president of Huawei’s consumer business product line said that HarmonyOS comes with a charger smart identification function, which can easily recognize fake chargers that are even labeled with Huawei branding.

According to the information, some of the Huawei Mate 20 X smartphones user running on HarmonyOS 2.0 reported that they have found a notification “This data cable will slow down the charging speed, please use the official recommended data cable and connect it correctly.”

Furthermore, it also provides a link and you will be redirected to the relevant page. Check out Huawei’s official 5A USB Type-C and 5A/6A USB Type-C data cables, which can be purchased at the Huawei Mall.

In addition to this, after completing the HarmonyOS software upgrades, the company recommends that you charge the device for 30-60 minutes when idle. During charging,  the system will be deeply optimized to ensure the best HarmonyOS experience.
