Chargers are an important aspect and accessory of a smartphone, we use them to recharge our phone’s battery so the phone could be utilized in various use cases.

As recently, some users that upgrade their phones with HarmonyOS 2 reported that their phones are charging slowly. Once plugged in the phone, the HarmonyOS 2 shows the message that “this charger does not pass fast charging protocol detection and cannot fast charge while the phone is charging”.

Regarding this, Bruce Lee, president of Huawei’s consumer business product line said that HarmonyOS comes with a charger smart identification function, which can easily recognize fake chargers that are even labeled with Huawei branding.

Furthermore, HM OS bring sign indicates that the charger is fake or duplicate. Additionally, Lee mentioned that the aim behind adding this feature and the online testing program is to ensure the users’ charging experience and safe use cases.

However, if this notification appears while your phone is charging then it is recommended that you must replace your concurrent charger with the official Huawei charger immediately.

This feature is quite useful and could decrease the chances for Huawei smartphone users to grab a fake charger that could damage their phone’s battery life.

Fake chargers with Low Charging Capacity:

Fake chargers usually circulate among the consumers and the fake kind of charger has an output power of less than 10w. These chargers are promised to provide 40w super-fast charging capacity and pretends to be the original Huawei 40w charger
