On December 26, 2021, Huawei HiSilicon launched a new AI-powered ISP – Yueying for the industry, a new generation of smart image processing engines for IoT smart devices, the latest technology, and solutions.
This new Huawei HiSilicon ISP is a new generation of image processing engine (ISP) that introduces AI, which assembles the deep integration of image quality and AI technology, establishes a new benchmark for image quality, and also represents a new industry technology.
The Chinese tech maker has also revealed the five key capabilities of Yueying to enable smart and clear picture quality in all scenarios. Huawei has presented this technology at China International Public Security Expo also known as China International Expo. HiSilicon also allowed the visitor to experience the effect of this new ISP image system by presenting it in a dark exhibition room.
HiSilicon Yueying has capabilities such as sensitivity noise reduction, uses neural networks for smart noise reduction in low light environments. It’ll also bring new tech to bring clear image quality.

According to the information, the HiSilicon Smart Analysis engine is composed of NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit, Neural Network Processor) and VPU (Vector Processing Unit, Vector Processing Unit).
