Huawei FreeBuds 4 firmware update brings audio and Bluetooth improvements [Global]

Recently, Huawei has begun to roll out the first firmware update for semi-in-ear designed Huawei FreeBuds 4. This next-gen pair of earbuds comes with improved noise-reducing technology, a powerful battery, support wireless charging, and more.

According to the information, this update optimizes the audio effect, improves the accuracy of wear detection as well as Bluetooth Connection stability to enhance the user experience.

New firmware version:

Huawei FreeBuds 4 owners can upgrade their earbuds to the latest version 1.9.0.200 and come with a small update package size of 2.93MB.

Changelog:

  • Optimizes the audio experience
  • Improves the accuracy of the wear detection
  • Improves the stability of the Bluetooth connection

Important notes:

  • Maintain battery level of 20% and above in both earbuds and charging case.
  • Before upgrading, put both earbuds in the charging case and leave it open.
  • Currently, this update is rolling out for global variants.

How to update:

VIA SETTINGS:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap on Bluetooth
  3. Select Huawei FreeBuds 4
  4. Tap on Update
  5. Tap Search for Updates
  6. Download and Install

ALTERNATIVELY, VIA AI LIFE APP:

  1. Open the AI Life app
  2. Tap on Huawei FreeBuds 4
  3. Tap on Update
  4. Tap Search for Updates
  5. Download and Install

Huawei FreeBuds 4:

On June 2, Huawei has officially debuted a new pair of earbuds, Huawei FreeBuds 4 in the global market. It comes with a semi-in ear design to provide a comfortable wearing experience and improved noise-reducing technology offers a crystal clear hearing experience.

These earbuds feature several new features and improvements over Huawei FreeBuds 3. It has a lightweight of 4.1g, supports high-definition vocal recording, 48kHz sampling rate, AI noise reduction algorithm, maximum noise reduction depth of 25dB, and Bluetooth 5.2.

In terms of battery, it can support up to 14 hours of music playback and can be charged within half an hour. In addition, a single charge of 15 minutes can provide battery support for up to 2.5 hours.
