Huawei P50 Pro Render

Last October, Huawei has launched its annual flagship, the Huawei Mate 40 series, and now the company is planning to reveal the new flagship in P-series and Mate-series. However, already leaks, rumors, and renders are started appearing online of the upcoming Huawei P50 series.

According to a Huawei insider from China, Huawei’s new smartphone strategy is to increase the life cycle of the smartphone business with a limited number of chipsets. To provide the best user experience, Huawei will launch the P50 and Mate 50 series with the 5nm Kirin 9000 processor.

The Kirin 9000 is the most full-featured 5G Soc to date, which has the capability to handle multi-tasking operations and delivering improved performance and power efficiency.

The insider also revealed that the company has already reserved the big amount of Kirin 9000 chipset for the upcoming flagships, Huawei P50 and Mate 50. The insider reveals, even if Mate 40 sold out, Huawei has a considerable quantity of Kirin 9000 chipset for the upcoming P50 and Mate 50 smartphones.

Kirin 9000 uses TSMC’s 5nm build process and has Octa-core architecture including 1 x Cortex -A77 at 3.13 GHz, 3 x Cortex-A77 at 2.54 GHz, 4 x Cortex-A55 at 2.05 GHz. The chipset uses a 24-core mali-G78 GPU for extreme graphics performance.

The previous leak suggests that the Huawei P50 series may come with a larger display panel, 90-120Hz screen refresh rate, 200x binocular zoom camera, EMUI 11, and more.
