Honor has silently unveiled the Honor X50 Pro smartphone in China with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a jumbo 5800mAh battery, and a variety of other features. While users are waiting for the Magic 6 series, the company brought a mid-range handset as a new year offering.

Display:

Honor X50 Pro smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 2652 x 1200 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It further supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 1.07 billion colors, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Apart from the visual capabilities, the front side bears a single punch hole at the center of the screen and an embedded fingerprint sensor for a secure and efficient locking method.

Honor X50 Pro unveiled with an adjusted core version of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with 4nm process technology. Talking about the CPU architecture, it has 1 x 3.2GHz + 3 x 2.75Ghz A710 + 4 x 2.0GHz A510. Besides, the device bears the Adreno 730 900MHz graphics processing unit.

The handset packs a 5800mAh battery and supports 35W charging. It has also used the all-new battery anti-aging technology which will proficiently run the device for 4 years straight.

Camera:

The optical framework includes a giant circular mount at the rear end which holds two cameras including a 108MP primary lens and a 2MP macro sensor. On the flip side, there is an 8MP camera on the front side for effective selfie portraits.

Other features include NFC capabilities, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The device pre-installs the Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 and a 5100 mm.sq. vapor cooling system to prevent overheating issues.

Another useful add-on is the industry’s first Tai Chi cushioning architecture on the device which protects against accidental drops.

Price and Availability

It is worth mentioning that the company is planning to keep the Honor X50 Pro as an offline product. Thus, you may only get the device in the nearest offline Honor stores. The phone is available in two colors – Green and Black in 12GB + 256GB variant for 2799 yuan ($425).
