Honor X10 Max receiving October 2020 software update

Honor X10 Max has started receiving the new software update that installs the security patch released in October 2020. This update mainly fixes the different levels of exploits and issues, which enhances system security.

Version and Changelog: Honor X10 Max getting Magic UI 3.1.1.196 upgraded from 3.1.1.195 and comes with October 2020 security patch that fixes 21 high-level and 1 medium level of CVE’s.

In the meantime, Honor is testing its devices for Magic UI 4 and sending the Magic UI 4 beta version for registered devices. However, Honor 30 and V30 series already received the Magic UI 4 stable version.

Although Honor X10 Max is also an eligible device for Magic UI 4, there is no official confirmation available regarding Honor X10 Max will get Magic UI 4 or not. Users are still waiting for Magic UI 4.

HOW TO UPDATE HONOR X10 MAX:

Download via Settings:

• Open Settings
• Click on the System & updates
• Open Software update
• Tap on Check for updates option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

• Open the Support app on your device
• Go to the Service tab
• Click on the update button
• Tap on Check for update option
• If an update is available, click on Download and install
• After installation Reboot the device

NOTE:

1. This update is currently rolling out in China.
2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
3. The update will not erase any data
