Earlier in September, Huawei has released the EMUI 11 and started its beta testing program. The first batch of the device includes the Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro series. However, the company has already kicked-off EMUI 11 stable version for the first batch.
Previously, the Huawei Mate 30 series has grabbed the EMUI 11 stable version. Now, Huawei has begun sending new EMUI 11 update for users who have registered for EMUI 11 beta testing.
New EMUI 11 update brings new features, which include new air gestures, a new artistic theme, and improvements for multi-window mode.

VERSION INFO: Huawei Mate 30 series receiving EMUI 11 version 184.108.40.206 that is upgraded from 220.127.116.11.
Themes: Added the “Starry Night” theme to take you into the beautiful starry night.
AI Air Control: Wave your hand to the right to turn pages and read, browse photos, add the ability to answer calls, insert or pause music by pressing in the air.
Smart multi-window: Fix the problem of the size of the floating window cannot be adjusted in the horizontal screen scene.
HOW TO UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
- Currently, this update is rolling in China.
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data.
