Huawei is sending a new HarmonyOS software update for Honor V30 and V30 Pro smartphones that mainly install the security patch released in April 2022. This new update brings fixes for severe issues and bugs encountered in the latest HarmonyOS software system.

According to the information, the Huawei V30 series April 2022 security update comes with updated HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.232. Before proceeding with the update, make sure that your device is currently running on HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.230.

Following the changelog, we have found that it incorporates a security patch, which enhances the system’s security and protects it against threats. So user, grab the update as soon as arrives on your device. Other than this, the changelog doesn’t contain any changes to mention.

Security patch details:

Huawei April 2022 HarmonyOS security patch brings fixes 49 common vulnerabilities among them 10 CVEs belonging to the system and 39 CVEs from third-party libraries for improved system security.

Note:

Users must ensure to charge their smartphone by 30% battery to prevent any type of difficulty during downloading the new update. Also, make sure to have sufficient storage in the device to download and install the update. Don’t forget to use a Wi-Fi connection for rapid and speedy download.

How to install the latest update?

To install, the Honor V30 series smartphone users need to open the settings menu, click on system & updates, then tap on software updates. From here, tap on check for updates and wait for the phone to fetch the latest update. Afterward, hit the download and install.

You can also download the version through the My Huawei app. Open your My Huawei app > go to support section> tao on update icon> check for updates > Download and install > Reboot.
