Honor V20 receiving a new update with “Ark Compiler” support

Earlier this week, Honor officially announced that Honor V20 and Magic 2 flagships will be the first to receive Ark compiler support on May 10, but the update with Ark compiler has been also started to roll out.

Ark compiler can improve Android system performance by 24%, response speed by 44%, and the smoothness of the third-party application up to 60%.



Honor V20 comes with software version 9.1.0.211 (COOE203R1P16) and its size is 362MB.  To receive this update the phone must have Magic UI version 2.1.

This update is coming as a new version for devices that have been upgraded to Magic UI 2.1 starting last month.

The update is currently rolling in China but the company may soon release it for devices outside the country.



If you want to check for the update manually you can do this to follow the instruction below:

Go to Settings > System > System update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

Changelog:

System improvements: New support for Huawei Ark compiler has been added for improving system response performance and smoothness.

Camera: Camera flashback problem fixed.

Other improvements: Knuckle screen capture feature has been improved, and reduces false touch problem.

Security Patch: May 2019 security patch added.
