Honor Play receiving January security update, as thousands of users signed petition for EMUI 10

Yesterday, Honor 9N received the latest security patch and now Honor Play users receiving a new update that brings new enhancement while its users are lobbying their efforts for EMUI 10 through petition.

The new update integrates January 2020 security patch for Honor Play installing fixes to 2 critical and 16 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

Versions:

Honor Play users are receiving the new security update with EMUI version 9.1.0.363 with 221 MB size and confirmed to roll out in the Indian model.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary in different countries and regions.

Check for update:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

Or open HiCare app > Update > Check for updates.

4500 signs on EMUI 10 petition:

Since Honor has denied EMUI 10 availability for Honor Play, around 4500 users of this device have reached Change.org and signed a petition for EMUI 10.
