Here’s how Huawei launched its new flagship throughout a month

On August 29, 2023, Huawei unveiled its new flagship phone – Huawei Mate 60 Pro and sent a shockwave in the smartphone industry. This was just the beginning because Huawei already planned to celebrate the flagship phone launch for an entire month.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro comes with several new features, while its remarkable satellite calling feature stands on its own. However, the chip discovery by global media specialists has triggered a new discussion.

The raised eyebrows in the US also led to an unpaid promotion to the Huawei Mate 60 series. Interstingly, Huawei kept its strategy straight by gradually releasing all models with simplicity.

It all started with the announcement of the 100 million Mate smartphone celebration in late August. With that being said, Huawei started a pioneer program, in simple words, this is a sort of early beta program to access the new flagship phone. But, instead of getting a buggy beta unit, the Pioneer program allowed users to buy the retail Mate 60 Pro.

On August 30, Huawei listed the standard Huawei Mate 60, which is an entry point to the Mate 60 series. After a week of full-blown sales, on September 8, Huawei dropped the Mate 60 Pro+ in the market. The phone has a different design language, new color options and a powerful specs sheet. Alongside the Mate 60 Pro+, Huawei also brought a new 5G capable Mate X5 side foldable phone.

Huawei reserved mid-September for two major launches – the Huawei Watch GT 4 series and the new AITO M7 SUV with Huawei ADS 2.0 smart driving system. At the same time, Huawei began to warm up for a flagship launch event scheduled for September 25. In between this timeline, the Chinese tech maker continues to promote new devices.
