At Huawei Developer Conference 2020, Huawei unveiled HarmonyOS 2.0 version that supports new device platforms. On January 12 at a Sina 2020 Technology Billboard conference, Wang Chenglu, Software Chief at Huawei Consumer Business Software Department said that the company has aimed to install its operating system on 300 to 400 million devices in 2021.
Wang also replied to critics of HarmonyOS by saying that the HongmengOS is not a copy of Android or iOS. Wang mentioned that HarmonyOS (Hongmeng OS) has vast opportunities in the internet of everything era.

HarmonyOS 3 for Huawei Watch GT 3 series is expanding in the global market. It allows more Watch GT 3 series owners to install the new features and start using them right away.
Last month, Huawei began to release HarmonyOS 3 for Huawei Watch GT 3 Chinese models. Within a few days, the company rolled out this upgrade for the global market. The software update for Huawei Watch GT 3 series brings many new features, which aim to improve the smartwatch.

Quick replies are getting new optimizations, you can now send quick replies to social apps including Line, Viber, and Instagram directly from your smartwatch. This function supports EMUI and Android devices (other than HarmonyOS).

Huawei AITO M5 and M5 EV will get HarmonyOS 3

During the Huawei P60 series launch event, Huawei Smart Car Business Cheif, Yu Chengdong announced that all AITO smart car models will get HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system by the end of this month.
HarmonyOS 3 for these AITO M5 cars will bring new features including a super home screen and smart car search. The net recommendation score of Huawei M5 car owners is 86.4%
