Honor Play December 2021 update

Honor Play, an old popular and budget smartphone is grabbing December 2021 HarmonyOS software update that brings various improvements along with the security patch. As per the information, this update comes with the latest HM OS version 2.0.0.140.

According to the changelog, the December 2021 update for Honor Play includes the optimizations for basic system features such as volume, zoom function, and display effect of the contact interface.

In addition to this, the update also resolves the problem of being unable to log in to the Huawei account. Also, it installs December 2021 HarmonyOS security patch for better system security.

Early this month, Huawei released HM OS 2.0.0.125 update for Honor Play that brought optimizations for system stability, alarm vibration setting, dial interface display, and deleted the feedback assistant application from the system, and more.

Honor Play December 2021 update

Honor Play:

Honor Play smartphone was initially debuted with EMUI 8.2 software system based on Android 8.1 and then further received EMUI 9.0 and EMUI 9.1 major updates. But, it doesn’t receive the EMUI 10.0 software version that was disappointing at the time.

But, with the launch of HarmonyOS 2.0 and its roadmap also including the Honor Play, the users were surprised because it takes the phone to completely next level. Read more

Remember:

  • The device must have a better battery backup to install this update that is a minimum of 50%.
  • It’s compulsory to check your storage availability(Internal/External SDcard) to download the latest update as per the size required
  • A strong WiFi/mobile data connection is required for a buffer-free download of the package.

HOW TO INSTALL:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.
