Xiaomi allegedly spilled HyperOS 2.2 launch timeline

Xiaomi is seemingly developing the HyperOS 2.2 software version, but looks like the company has accidentally revealed the launch timeline of this new build. The latest information says that the new upgrade could start rolling out next month.

The company has recently released the rollout plan for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera features. While the roadmap primarily revealed the eligible devices and version push timeline, it suggests that the HyperOS 2.2 launch time is sooner than expected.

HyperOS 2.1 upgrade is currently live in China while being tested globally. As of now, the company has revealed the Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera features for its eligible devices. These features will likely be available with the upcoming software updates.

According to XiaomiTime, the new camera features update could be available by mid-May. Since the company usually bundles such enhancements with major software rollouts, we can expect that the HyperOS 2.2 closed beta may debut in April-end.

XiaomiTime further shares the HyperOS 2.2 upgrade release plan:

• In late April: Xiaomi may launch HyperOS 2.2 closed beta program
• In early May: HyperOS 2.2 public beta
• Mid-May: Stable HyperOS 2.2 rollout for flagship devices
• June-July: HyperOS 2.2 wider rollout

The Chinese phone maker has adopted this scheme various times. Redmi K80 series Game Turbo features are being pushed to compatible models via the HyperOS 2.1 version. Hence, we can expect the same strategy with the 2.2 software build.
