The US government may have prevented Huawei from using any software or hardware made by the US companies, but Huawei won’t break the brand, even if Google cuts off business relations following the US order.

The Chinese company has been working on its own OS as an alternative to the Android OS. Huawei devices in China already run without Google apps and services.

Huawei phones in China already use alternative apps and software for maps, mail, and videos. There’s no Google Maps, Google Search, Google Assistant, Gmail or YouTube.

Even on Huawei and Honor phones that sell outside China, Huawei, like many brands, uses a house-made UI. At the moment, Huawei phones run on EMUI.
