In the same month, Huawei is sending another firmware update for Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro. This update brings the new shortcut in the menu for draining water feature and optimizes system stability that improves users’ experience.

The draining water features allow you to eject excess water, which enters the speaker of the smartwatch while you’re in the water or swimming pool.

Aside from this, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro ECG version is now available for purchase in China. It sports a 1.39-inch display touch screen display with sapphire glass, 32MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, Sp02 monitoring, 100+ workout modes, and more.

The ECG mode can record your heartbeat and rhythm using the electrical heart sensor built on the smartwatch and checks these pulses to get your heart rate and see if the upper and lower chambers of your heart are in rhythm. If they’re out of rhythm, that could be AFib.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Connect the watch to your phone using the Huawei Health app, open the app, touch Devices, touch the device name, choose Firmware update, then follow the onscreen instructions to update your watch if there are any new updates.

REMEMBER:

  1. The update progress in the app is just for transferring the update package, it still needs to be installed on the watch for the update to complete.
  2. The watch needs to have at least 20% battery to update.
  3. Make sure the Bluetooth connection is stable during the update. Try again if the update fails.
