Upcoming Huawei Kirin chip could have ‘1+5+2’ core architecture

Huawei seemingly has some new Kirin chip products in the pipeline and one of these might have a “1+5+2” powerful core architecture. That says a new input regarding the upcoming Kirin processor and its robust performance capabilities for devices.

According to Weibo tipster @FixedFocus, Huawei has a new Kirin chip for which, the estimated core architecture could be ‘1+5+2’. Thus the octa-core processor is likely to have 1 large performance core, 5 medium cores, and 2 small efficient cores.

After the alleged configuration, a few netizens said that the scale seems interesting and the number of large cores might increase in the time ahead to improve performance aspects. The power consumption of TSV130 could be better than before.
