Note: These issues only appeared on some phones and it’s not for every user who upgraded to the latest EMUI versions.

Fast Battery drain:

Most of the users who sent us messages on this matter said they’re facing severe battery draining after the update. Users on EMUI 10.1 and EMUI 10.0 (Huawei P20) sent us their concerns regarding this issue.

Currently, we don’t have any exact insights regarding the issue or it’s related to the software side, causing this issue.

Just recently, Huawei pushed June 2020 security update for Huawei P30 and P30 Pro on EMUI 10.1. This new update seems to have fixed the battery drain problem and the company may send these fixes to other devices.

Charging Level Stuck:

Users also reported a bizarre issue, that their phones stuck at a maximum of 60% and not be able to go above that level. This seems to be an internal error, while a message appears on the top suggesting contacting the customer services.

Battery issue

For this, kind of issue, Huawei suggests the following but it’s confirmed to work on this matter.

“If the surrounding temperature is too high or too low, the device’s battery performance will be affected and the battery level will decrease. Please use your device in an environment at a suitable temperature.”
