Some Huawei P30 Pro users in Europe stuck on old software updates, HarmonyOS 2 testing in China

Huawei P30 is one of the versatile and power-packed flagships that Huawei has ever launched and the last premium smartphone from the Huawei campaign to come with Google Mobile Services (GMS).

Since its launch in 2019, Huawei has sold a massive number of P30 models around the globe and Europe as a quite number of user that uses the Huawei P30 series as a daily driver.

A month ago, a number of Huawei P30 Pro users reached us and reported a problem regarding the last software update.

According to the information, the Huawei P30 Pro model has not received a new software update after the February security update, and users argue that they aren’t able to install later updates.

Back in May, Huawei began sending a new software update for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro running EMUI 11 software system. This build version comes with a number of new applications as well as the March 2021 security patch.

This rollout has been confirmed by the Huawei P30 devices owners around the globe as it adds Petal Search, Reader, Petal Maps, Game Center, Member Center, and Link Now.

However, the users reported that didn’t receive such an upgrade, which is the main cause of concern. Still, we don’t have any insights into the issues that cause such problems but we would recommend the user to try to update via the HiSuite app or visit the nearest Huawei customer care.

Huawei P30 series HarmonyOS 2 beta testing:

Since last month, Huawei has been conducting HarmonyOS 2 beta testing on Huawei P30 devices, which remains enclosed within China. The new operating system for the Huawei P30 models comes replaces EMUI 11 with HarmonyOS and its new user interface alongside brand new features.

Whatsoever, Huawei has not announced HarmonyOS 2 beta testing plans for the global users and we’ve to wait to see what the Chinese tech giant is planning for the future devices.
