Last year, Huawei and Honor went separate ways and since then, the software update has been causing big mayhem and became a matter of concern for Honor smartphone owners.

According to the latest information coming from suomimobiili.fi, Huawei will be providing all of the software support for Honor smartphones that were launched before April 1, 2021. Thereafter, Honor will be starting its software support for devices that were unveiled after April 1, 2021.

This could be a big doubt clearance from the smartphone makers, as it provides an easy explanation of all of the concerns generated the past events.

Currently, Huawei is still serving security updates to Honor devices according to the monthly and quarterly upgrade roadmap. However, Honor Finland also shared a list of devices as well as their update tier.

“We want to serve all our customers as well as possible throughout the product lifecycle. Owners of Honor devices released before April 1, 2021, will therefore receive full product support through Huawei. Honor phones released during Huawei’s ownership will also receive standard software and security updates, similar to similar Huawei models, ” says Joonas Nurmela, Huawei’s Chief Public Relations and Communications Manager.”
