Huawei and Rovio partners to bring Angry Birds watches faces and downloadable content on AppGallery

One of the most popular games of all time Angry Bird 2 is now available on Huawei AppGallery. It is only possible through the new partnership between two giant companies Huawei and Rovio.

Rovio is one of the biggest names in the mobile gaming industry and this move shows the growing influence of AppGallery to reach a large international audience. Moreover, Angry Birds 2 is the first game of Rovio to make its way on Huawei AppGallery so far.

Regarding this, Derek Yu, President of Huawei CEE & Nordic and Canada at Huawei Consumer Business Group said:

“We are developing partnerships with some of the world’s leading game developers and as we build exposure to our vast user base, confidence amongst other studios and developers is growing,” said Yu

It’s important to mention that the Angry Birds movie is already available on Huawei Video. Aside from playing the Angry Birds game, Huawei users will also be able to customize their respective phones using Huawei Themes to display dedicated Angry Birds 2 branding.

Additionally, Huawei smartwatches including Watch GT 2 series and Watch fit as well as smart band bands users can also download the Angry Birds 2 watch faces. On the other hand, the Chinese tech giant is also supporting the launch in unique ways by offering a range of promotions and offers activities in its social channels to reach gamers in over 170+ countries.

 

On this matter, Miikka Lindgren, VP of Business Development at Rovio also presented his thoughts and said:
