Panasonic to halt business ties with Huawei for security concerns

After the US imposed business restrictions on Huawei, a series of companies around the world have started to separate themselves from the firm and now another big tech firm has decided to take the same step as others.

Japanese Panasonic said on Thursday it is stopping its business with Huawei after US ban over security concerns, Panasonic’s business with Huawei involves the supply of electronic parts.

Last week, the US Commerce Department added Huawei into the trade blacklist and imposed restrictions that’ll make it very difficult for the company to do business with American firms.

In response to this action, Huawei said it’s being bullied by the US government and the restrictions on the company are politically motivated.
