According to the information, Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei’s CBG Software Department said in an interview that Huawei’s homegrown HarmonyOS has a similar user experience comparing with Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS.
But, HarmonyOS has more capabilities in terms of cross-device connection. Also, in the future, Hongmeng OS will also make more efforts in the smart vehicle and smart home section.
Additionally, Huawei donated its all core structures of HarmonyOS to the “Open Atom Open Source Foundation” from where interested manufacturers can get the HarmonyOS operating system codes and develop product according to their need with this ecosystem. Currently, there are more than 500,000 developers working with HarmonyOS and more will join the HarmonyOS system soon.
