November 2020 security update released for Honor V30, V30 Pro and 6 more smartphones

We are at the end of December, Honor is sending the new software update for these 8 devices mentioned below. This update mainly brings the security patch released in November 2020 that enhances the system security and overall performance of device.

Meanwhile, Honor V30 and V30 Pro users receiving Magic 4.0 update that brings new fast file transfer, dynamic screen effect, fixes application issues along with November 2020 security patch.

Theme: Added “Starry Night Painting” artistic theme, bright color painting, and smooth and continuous motion effects.

App: Fix the problem that the WeChat clone cannot be selected when sharing.

Security: Incorporate the November 2020 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.

[November 2020 Security Patch Details] November 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Honor phones including 3 critical and 15 high levels of CVEs.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System/System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
