Honor 30, 30 Pro, Pro+, V30 and V30 Pro getting stable Magic UI 4/EMUI 11

After months of testing, Honor now finally started to rollout the stable Magic UI 4 (EMUI 11) for Honor 30 and V30 series smartphones. Alongside the Honor 30 and V30, Huawei has also released EMUI 11 for the Huawei Nova 7, Nova 6, and Huawei MatePad 10.8 devices.

Since it’s a sister UI of EMUI 11, the Magic UI 4 brings similar features including the new smart multi-window mode, smoother animations, subtle effect motions on the notification panel, new and secure privacy features, super notepad, and more for better user experience and performance on the Huawei smartphones.

Full OTA for Magic UI 3.1 Users: Honor 30 users on Magic UI 3.1 receiving a full OTA with version 4.0.0.130. Users of these smartphones required to be on EMUI 3.1.1.192.

Stable Patch for Magic UI 4 Beta Testers: Existing Magic UI 4 beta testers getting a stable Magic UI 4 patch with version 4.0.0.130. The Beta testers need to be updated on Magic UI 4.0.0.125.

Honor 30 Pro and 30 Pro+:

Full OTA for Magic UI 3.1 Users: Honor 30 Pro and Pro+ users on Magic UI 3.1 receiving a full OTA with version 4.0.0.145. Users of these smartphones required to be on EMUI 3.1.0.194.

Stable Patch for Magic UI 4 Beta Testers: Existing Magic UI 4 beta testers getting a stable Magic UI 4 patch with version 4.0.0.145. The Beta testers need to be updated on Magic UI 4.0.0.138.

Honor V30 and V30 Pro:

Full OTA for Magic UI 3.1 Users: Honor V30 and V30 Pro receiving Magic UI 4 with version 4.0.0.145. Users of these smartphones required to be on EMUI 3.1.0.223.

Stable Patch for Magic UI 4 Beta Testers: Magic UI 4 beta testers receiving stable Magic UI 4 patch with version 4.0.0.145. The Beta testers need to be updated on Magic UI 4.0.0.138.

Note: The update is rolling out in batches for Chinese models.

Multi-Window:

Multi-Window allows you to open apps in a floating window for multitasking. You can relocate the floating window to the desired location or minimize it to a floating bubble for easier access later.

Smoother animations:

The brand new, intuitive animations throughout EMUI 11 create a smoother, more unified, and visually pleasing user experience when touching items or sliding on the screen.

Subtle effects:

Whether you’re toggling switches on or off, subtle effects have been enhanced throughout the OS for greater visual satisfaction.

Privacy-based screen projection:

When you project your phone onto an external display, messages and incoming calls are displayed only on your phone screen, both protecting your privacy and ensuring the continuity of screen projection.

SEAMLESS CONNECTIONS:

Super Notepad:

Notepad now supports editing notes simultaneously from multiple Huawei devices. For example, you can insert a photo from your phone to the note being edited on your tablet.

You can now quickly identify and extract text from images or documents, edit the text, and then export and share it. Creating a digital version of a paper document has never been easier.

MeeTime:

Besides HD voice and video calls, MeeTime also you to send encrypted messages and animated emojis, skip forward and backward when playing voice messages, and send groups of images in one go.

AI Subtitles:

Browse articles or pictures in different languages and translate the words or paragraphs by selecting and adjusting the selection.

Gallery:

Add a micro-film creation function on the “Discover” tab, add video clips through templates, and easily create special effects and a new video with background music. Enhanced video editing functions, richer operation instructions in the timeline and editing options area, and more convenient editing

PRIVACY AND SECURITY:

Hide Display Message:

When screencasting in mobile mode, enable the message do not disturb function, which allows the phone’s incoming calls and message banner notifications to be displayed only on the phone interface, which protects the privacy and ensures the continuity of screencasting.
