WhatsApp developers are back to back testing new features and changes through beta testing for further implementation with future stable updates. In this equation, WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through Google Play Beta Program.
According to Wabetainfo, the latest changes come with WhatsApp beta version 184.108.40.206 for Android has a good and useful feature as the possibility to listen to voice messages using different playback speeds.
This feature is awaited by many users and finally enabled by WhatsApp surprisingly for Android beta testers. It’s very rare to see a feature enabled in such a short time (by comparing it to other WhatsApp features).
As per previous news, this feature been under development for some time, and last month it already emerged that there are three playback speeds – 1x, 1.5x, and 2x. Among these, users will have to choose which one to explore.
When this feature, by playing a voice message the user will see a symbol to manage its speed (compared to previous appearances of this feature, the graphic appearance seems to have been changed).
The new UI looks so:
Just a tap on the playback speed icon to change the speed with the next one and this makes it very simple to manage it during playback and particularly convenient in very long messages.
At the moment, this feature is enabled for a limited beta tester and soon it will be also for others through the stable channel.
