New update released for Huawei Nova 8 SE, Honor 30, V30, and Play 4 Pro (HarmonyOS)

Starting with the beta testing, several eligible Huawei and Honor phones have received the stable version of the new HarmonyOS 2.0 in China. The company is also releasing regular updates for these smartphones with bug fixes and improvements for an enhanced user experience.

According to the latest information, Huawei Nova 8 SE and a bunch of Honor devices are now grabbing a new software update based on HM OS 2. This firmware treats Nova 8 SE differently than the Honor phones. Here is the list of adapting models:

  • Honor 30 Pro
  • Honor 30 Pro+
  • Honor V30
  • Honor V30 Pro
  • Honor Play 4 Pro

To be mentioned, the Chinese tech giant has already announced the stable HarmonyOS 2.0 update for the aforementioned devices. All the users in China can directly upgrade to the new version from the previous EMUI software.

Moving on, the new software update for the aforementioned devices brings optimization to the display interface of the control panel. Meanwhile, the other Huawei smartphones are getting several new changes, bug fixes, and optimizations in some scenarios.

All these Honor smartphones are getting the latest HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.165 upgraded from version 2.0.0.145.

Huawei Nova 8 SE

As for the Nova 8 SE, along with the control panel interface display optimization, this firmware also improves the drop-down status bar experience in some game scenarios. In addition, it also brings stability to the devices.

The users can easily identify the latest software update on their Nova 8 phones with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.165 upgraded from version 2.0.0.146.

HarmonyOS 2.0 status:

The HarmonyOS 2.0 has already rolled out for most of the Huawei and Honor devices in China. Meanwhile, we haven’t yet got anything for the global users. Recently, the EMUI 12 has been spotted on a Huawei smartphone in Russia.

What Huawei has planned for its global users, will it release the HarmonyOS 2.0 or EMUI 12? Currently, we don’t have any clue on this matter but we’ll keep you posted on further development in this story.

Huawei Nova 8 SE:

The Nova 8 smartphone is the mid-range smartphone in Huawei’s Nova lineup that comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and HDR10 support. The device is powered by Dimensity 720/Dimensity 800U 5G chipsets.

It equips a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro, and another 2MP depth sensor. In terms of software, the smartphone is pre-packed with Android 10 based EMUI 10.1 software.
