New EMUI 11 beta update with bright screen effect rolling out for Huawei Mate 20

On November 9, Huawei has started recruiting the Huawei Mate 20 series for EMUI 11 beta testing program in China. Following the EMUI 11 beta testing, the company has released the first and second beta version in the same month for Mate 20 users.

On the other hand, Huawei is expanding the EMUI 11 beta for Mate 20 series and already opened the enrollment of Mate 20 series smartphones in different regions including Europe, South East Asia, UK, and the Middle East.

According to the official EMUI 11 roadmap, the Huawei Mate 20 series will receive stable EMUI 11 somewhere in the first quarter of 2021.

Now, Huawei is sending a new EMUI 11 beta for Huawei Mate 20 users that bring new features including a new bright screen dynamic effect, optimizations for third party application, MeeTime message, display and fixes some known issue.

  • Added a new bright screen dynamic effect
  • Optimizes the compatibility with some third-party applications
  • Optimizes the experience of using MeeTime message
  • Optimizes the display effect of some scenes
  • Fix the problem that some scenes cannot enter the multitasking interface by sliding up from the bottom of the screen.

New EMUI 11 version:

  • Huawei Mate 20 beta tester receiving EMUI 11 beta version 11.0.0.125, which is upgraded from 11.0.0.115.

HOW TO UPDATE:

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

REMEMBER:

  1. Currently, this update is rolling out in China.
  2. The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  3. The update will not erase any data.
