MIOS trademarks appeared as it aims to revamp Xiaomi smartphone software ecosystem

Recently, a number of Xiaomi “MIOS” trademarks have appeared in the Chinese trademark office and these go way back to 2010.

This trademark has classification in scientific instruments, communication services, and website services. As for now, these trademarks are confirmed as registered.

The long duration of trademark filing indicates that Xioami had long thought of working on its own mobile software but found no way to start.

Aside from these, Xiaomi has also registered a new mios.com web domain as an intellectual property in China. However, the date for this filing is very recent in 2022. Thus reflecting that the company began to warm up recently.

Information about MIOS indicates that this is going to be the next major milestone for the Xiaomi smartphone software ecosystem. The company is looking to put control on Android with its own software expertise.

Aside from these trademarks, Xiaomi has not confirmed any official details about the MIOS.
