Midea cooking stove launched with Huawei HarmonyOS smartphone NFC chipset, control with phone

On April 27, Chinese home appliance product maker, Midea has launched a steaming and grilling stove on Huawei’s e-commerce website, Vmall with a public test price of 1699 yuan (260 USD).

According to the information, this new smart product has a built-in HarmonyOS (Hongmeng OS) smart sensor chip, Huawei mobile phone NFC one-touch networking, 4 major cooking modes, 1800W direct injection steam, and exclusive customized recipes

Office information reveals that this new product is the first batch of cooking stoves equipped with Huawei HarmonyOS and has a pre-built Hongmeng OS NFC smart sensor chipset.

With the help of the new chip, it can easily and quickly be connected with phones by placing a phone close to the cooking stove. After connecting with the smartphone, the user can jump directly to the control page of the HarmonyOS.

Furthermore, users can also get recipes that match the product on the page. After preparing the ingredients according to the recipes, they can start the machine with one button to realize automatic cooking.

On the other hand, the steam mode of the Midea cooking stove adopts direct injection, with 1800W power, 30s steam output, 120s heating to 100 degrees. The steaming mode has the power of 1900W and a high temperature of 230 degrees.

Huawei and Midea partnership:

Last November, Midea Group, one of the most popular Chinese appliance company launched the first smart home product that pre-equipped with Huawei operating system, Hongmeng OS (HarmonyOS).

According to the latest information, both Midea Group and Huawei have decided to take their collaboration to a big scale and planned to launch new smart home products this year. This cooperation between the two firms will be enhanced throughout 2021.
