May security patch for Huawei Mate 20 series expanding, EMUI 10.1 will rollout in July

EMUI 10.1 is spreading for the Huawei Mate 30 and P30 devices in Europe and other regions. However, this rollout is still under early stages and yet to expand widely. Meanwhile, Huawei Mate 20 series is still on the EMUI 10.0 and the company has now decided to improve this old flagship with a new security patch.

Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X 4G, Mate 20 X 5G receiving a new update with May 2020. These phones began receiving the May patch from last May but now it’s expanding to more users around the globe.

Yes, it’s just a regular update and according to our rollout plan for Europe, Huawei Mate 20 series will start to receive EMUI 10.1 in July. It’s possible that some of the Mate 20 series models could receive June 2020 receive updates later this month.

The May 2020 update brings security patches from Huawei and Google, that fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.

The May 2020 update for Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 X 5G comes with EMUI 10 version – 10.0.0.220/221/223.
