Huawei has begun sending a new HarmonyOS software update for Huawei Mate 30 series devices that installs March 2022 security improvements. That’s not it, the latest update also brings improvements for the Super Device feature, gaming experience as well as new features.

As per the information, Huawei Mate 30 lineup March 2022 update is dispatched with HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.230. So, the below-listed device’s owners running on HM OS build number 2.0.0.216/2.0.0.218/2.0.0.223 are eligible to install the latest update.

  • Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design (LIO-AN00P)
  • Huawei Mate 30E Pro (5G) (LIO-AN00m)

Especially talking about the changes, this update added more device support to the Super Device feature and new Elderly Care tools. Further, it optimizes the anti-mistouch operation experience as well as installs March 2022 security patch for increased system security.

As of now, most of the Huawei devices in the Chinese market have received the March 2022 security patch that protects the device against threats. However, some models are still left and will soon get the latest update via OTA.

  • Super Device: Added support for connecting with some Huawei watches, wristbands, and MateView, which can be easily connected with one click.
  • Settings: Auxiliary function Added “Elderly Care” setting interface, which is convenient for you to complete the settings of extra large fonts, touch delay, and other related functions on the same interface.
  • Games: Optimize the anti-mistouch operation experience of the game scene.
  • Security: The security patch is incorporated into the March 2022 security patch to enhance the security of the mobile phone system.

Here are two ways to install the update among them most better is through settings. Through settings, go to the settings menu, tap on system & update then software updates. Afterward, tap on check for updates and if an update is found, then hit the download and install option.

On the flip side, you can also update your smartphone via the My Huawei app, open the My Huawei app and visit the update section. Now, follow the on-screen steps to download and install. At last, reboot the device and enjoy the new experience.

As you know, this update won’t erase your data but it’s also good to take a backup. Maintain enough battery and storage on your device. Also, use stable data or a WiFi network connection.
