Huawei P40 March 2022 update

Huawei P40 series smartphone has started receiving the latest March 2022 HarmonyOS software update. This update is rolling out in the Chinese market and soon global users will be able to install the latest security patch.

According to the information, the March 2022 update for the Huawei P40 lineup arrived with HarmonyOS 2.0 build version 2.0.0.230 updated from 2.0.0.223. Before heading towards the update, make sure you are on mentioned baseline HM OS version.

At the moment, EMUI 12 rollout is at its peak and is expected to conclude at end of April 2022. In the meantime, the information related to HarmonyOS 3.0 has started popping up through online platforms. It was reported that HM OS 3.0 to launch soon this year.

Coming to the changelog, this update brings support for more Huawei devices such as watches, wristbands, and MateView to Super Device. Further, it added an Elderly Care setting interface and optimizes the anti-mistouch operation experience.

In addition to this, it also installs the HarmonyOS security improvements released in March 2022 for better system privacy. It comes with fixes for over 35 common vulnerabilities and exposure found in the latest software system.

How to update:

To download the latest update via Settings > System & updates, followed by Software updates, and hereafter, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the software update process.
