March 2021 security update released for Huawei Mate Xs folding smartphone

Huawei is sending a new software update for Mate Xs folding smartphone running on EMUI 11. This update mainly installs the security patch released in March 2021 for improved system security.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

One thing worth mentioning, Huawei has released this security update on the mainland as well as globally at the same. The Mate Xs users are suggested to install the latest firmware version, which enhances system security as well as overall performance.

According to the previous report, Huawei is planning to launch three new cheap smartphones in the folding device segment in the second half of 2021.

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
