Huawei has started to rollout EMUI 9.0 for Huawei Y9 2019 in the African continent, the update installs a user-friendly interface, new UI design and new set of features including, Full-view navigation, Huawei Share 3.0, Wireless projection, GPU Turbo 2.0 and more.

The update for Huawei Y9 2019 comes with EMUI version 9.0.1.162 and the whole update package divided into two patches with different changelog, as it is currently rolling in Kenya and may soon expand to other markets.

Note: The EMUI versions and update size may vary depending on the market.

If you want to check the update manually please follow the instructions below:

Go to Settings > System > System update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

If the update does not appear in the settings, we recommend you to request it via HiCare App:

Go to HiCare app > tap on Update > click on the checkbox and hit Apply. After this Go to Settings > System > System update > Check for Updates > Download and Install.
