Huawei summarizes EMUI 11 features for maximum customizations

On January 27, Huawei has summarised the features that come with EMUI 11. These include some of the latest additions such as customization for always-on display, gallery as well as applications.

Last September, Huawei introduced the latest version of the EMUI software system, EMUI 11 that brings a bunch of new features to make users’ life easier.

As of now, Huawei has already rolled out EMUI 11 for most of its smartphones inside China and also started to roll it out for Huawei smartphone users in the global market.

Always on display (AOD) customization:

This feature supports two types of customization, dynamic picture, and artist signature.

Dynamic picture customization: Support GIF or moving pictures and dynamic pictures taken by your own smartphone.

Art signature customization: It allows the text content and style fonts to be customized.

How to customize:

  • Open Settings on your phone
  • Select Desktop and wallpaper menu
  • Click the Off-screen display
  • Select Off-screen display style-Art signature/Personalized picture

Gallery:

The gallery appearance in EMUI 11 is based on a magazine interface, which supports custom sorting of photo albums according to users’ needs as well as permits to apply custom covers on moments or photo albums.

How to customize:

To sort photo or photo album:

Select the Albums and open the album sorting menu. After opening, hold and drag the equal option and place it according to your priority.

To apply cover:

Click on the moment in the gallery and at the upper right corner select the change cover option and apply the cover.

Application customization:

Users can also customize the most commonly used application’s icon style, which can be minimalist geometric figures, user-friendly animation characters, etc.

How to customize:

  • Open Theme app
  • Click on My-Mix and then match DIY
  • Choose any one-Custom and apply.
