During the recent 2023 World Semiconductor Conference and Nanjing International Semiconductor Expo in China, Huawei showcased its EDA solutions to build semiconductor technologies.

According to the information, the showcased semiconductor Huawei technologies include R&D, production, supply, and operation. Specific applications include all-wireless factories, FAB micro-isolation, AI quality inspection, yield big data, and EDA engineering simulation.

Interestingly, Huawei decided to give all of the visitors a close look at how this tech actually works. For that, the company created different sections for utilizing EDA tools.

These are IC design, semiconductor packaging and testing, semiconductor manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment materials.

All of the technologies shown by Huawei are mainly based on internal computing, storage, and network platforms. Thus covering the requirements of different scenarios with end-to-end services and solutions.

On the other hand, the Chinese tech maker is working with another industry partner to create AI-powered quality inspection tools for electronics, solar energy, and semiconductor.

Huawei EDA:

Back in April, Huawei announced its own Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools with domestic partners. These are created for semiconductor processing above 14nm and are ready for verification by this year.

EDA or Electronic Design Automation, is a set of tools including software, hardware, and services for semiconductor design. It is collectively used to assist in the definition, planning, design, implementation, verification, and manufacturing of semiconductors or chips.
