Lessons Learned:

The company is learning a new lesson in a hard with the release of the Huawei Mate 60 series. The market demand for this new flagship phone is pretty high in China but customers can’t buy a unit due to its unavailability.

This is caused by the low production and slow supply chain. Also, Huawei’s supply chain is already limited, therefore, the Chinese company has a small playing field to gather required components.

Still, the production is taking extra time and stock is not pushing fast in the market. Therefore, the tech maker could stock important components in advance to prepare a better supply chain and distribution for the Huawei P70 series.

Price increase:

A past report reveals that some of the optical fingerprint suppliers have increased the module price by up to 30% in China. This sudden change in price was driven by the strong sales of the Huawei Mate 60 series and other new popular smartphones.

To reduce pressure, Huawei is taking optical fingerprint supplies from Goodix Technology, GigaDevice, and Will Technology. Huawei has been using optical fingerprint scanners in smartphones since the adaptation of such technology and the Huawei P70 is not an exception to this tradition, creating a sufficient stock of supplies is also important for the company.
